When a mother’s love triumphs over death!
Life is a miracle. That phrase has special meaning for Kate and David Ogg.
Physicians were left for dead her baby son Jamie, just after delivery. However, after two hours of feeling the love of his mother, the boy proved that the doctors were wrong and woke up.
Kate was pregnant with twins and had a premature delivery before 7 months of gestation. The girl survived and was told that the baby boy did not survive the birth.
Mrs. Ogg and her husband David told how doctors gave up on saving their son after a three-hour labor in a Sydney hospital.
“The doctor asked me had we chosen a name for our son, said Mrs. Ogg. I said, “Jamie”, and he turned around with my son already wrapped up and said, “We’ve lost Jamie, he didn’t make it, sorry”.
It was the worse feeling I’ve ever felt. I removed his blanket.
I took my gown off and arranged him on my chest with his head over my arm and just held him. He wasn’t moving at all and we just started talking to him.
We told him what his name was and that he had a sister. We told him the things we wanted to do with him throughout his life.
Jamie occasionally gasped for air, which doctors said was a reflex action. But then I felt him move as if he were startled, then he started gasping more and more regularly. I gave Jamie some breast milk on my finger; he took it and started regular breathing”.
It is when doctors were surprised and confirmed that Jamie was alive.
Her husband added: luckily I’ve got a very strong, very smart wife. She instinctively did what she did. If she hadn’t done that, Jamie probably wouldn’t be here.
For The Ogg, his son Jamie is alive, thanks to a miracle of God and the love of his mother.
All mothers do for their children is unconditional.
Help and respect your mother, now that she is still alive. Celebrate Mother’s Day with her 365 days a year.
For Christianity and the Orthodox Easter Sunday is a celebration of joy. And the traditional lamb on the table symbol of purity has joined another symbol: the Easter egg.
This is the sign of the resurrection, because the Easter egg has always had a venerable history, from those early Christians who regarded him as a symbol of the Resurrection of Jesus.
In the English-speaking, Easter Sunday is called ‘Easter Sunday’, because according to tradition Teutonic Eastre was the goddess of spring (Easter usually falls very close), and in his honor held a pagan festival . Eastre name Easter derived.
The custom of hiding colored eggs in the field or in the gardens of the houses, to the joy and delight of the children who are, are still held in many countries, including the United States. Curiously, in the gardens of the White House on Easter develops a singular race of children are rolled eggs. Who wins and go farther without breaking. In Greece still continue to exchange crimson eggs, to remember the blood of Christ. The Armenians empty them and decorate them with images of Christ and the Virgin. And in Poland and Ukraine for Easter, true works of art made with wax sunk on its shell.
It all starts at Easter and culminates with Easter Sunday, which is presented as one of the most important religious festivals. Beyond the holidays, the kilos of chocolate eaten, rabbits and typical threads, Easter has a story worth telling.
Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday, one of the most important celebrations of Christianity. Many faithful attend Mass with olive branches-command reception of Christ in Jerusalem, to be blessed.
This week we remember the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus. With Palm Sunday evoked Christ’s entry into Jerusalem. According to the Catholic faith, the Jewish people welcomed him waving olive branches.
From Thursday next-day commemorating the Last Supper-religious liturgy becomes more important. Good Friday recalls the torment of Christ’s march to Calvary and Sunday, with Easter, is celebrating the passage from death to life of the Son of God.
It would be nice everyone always give the best of yourself, at home, at school, at work, in any activity that you do. Thus there will be no regrets in your life. You always do your best.
An example of inspiration for all of us was Mother Teresa of Calcutta. During a trip to Calcutta, a friend of mine, visited the orphanage “The Sisters of Charity of Mother Teresa“, he noticed that on the wall of the reception room of the orphanage the following message:
People are unreasonable, illogical and selfish.
Despite all love them.
If you do good, people will accuse you’re doing it for money.
Despite all do good.
If you are a successful person, you will have false friends and true enemies.
Despite all succeeds.
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow.
Despite all do good.
Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Despite all be honest and frank.
People feel sympathy for the weak, but admires celebrities.
Despite all stand next to the weak.
What you did it take you years to build can be destroyed in a moment.
Despite all builds.
People need help, but some will criticize you if you help.
Despite all help them.
Give the world the best of you and will receive unfair criticism.
Despite all give the world the best of you.”
I think if we follow these guidelines we can improve the world we live in, even if you do not agree with these guidelines.
I hope this New Year you can transcend, in the lives of many people in your environment, community, or country to improve the world that we live and so, not to destroy the human race.
How do you transcend?
Finding meaning and purpose to your life and giving us a better world to live. Evolving (Gradual process of cumulative changes, by which living things have changed over successive generations.) culturally as a human being for good and thus not reach an Involution (Setback in the progress or evolution of a process).
Everyone has a mission in life. The greatest need of the human being is to transcend.
But, what is our mission? How can we find out?
There are some clues that lead us to our mission. One of them is: What do we love? What causes us to attract more to contribute? For example, there are people who would draw much attention children and want to devote their lives to a service dedicated to children. Others are attracted to the environment and feel they have to save the world somehow. Others devote their lives to the health of the disabled, or the elderly, etc.
Other tracks are our talents. For example some are more creative, more interpersonal other, others mental, and numerical. Other more oriented order and structure.
Our mission is related to our passion and talent.
What could you contribute to improve the world we live in?
A good mission statement should be inspiring, clear and concise. So you can focus better at it.
In my case, my mission is: “Help people to develop their personal skills, making them believe in themselves through my blog.”
The best way to inspire change in people is setting the example yourself. My mission tells me to spend time trying to improve, enabling me, learning, meditating to become a better person and so, through my communication skills and creativity, reach out to people to help them become better human beings.
In investigations of people who have had a trauma, such as cancer or lost a loved one, it was found that these develop a deeper philosophy of life and reorient their priorities. They feel that the trauma they experienced was a call to wake up and live a life less materialistic and more meaningful. The fact of confront their own mortality made them reflect on the value of life.
And that’s true, I can assure you. After, I had lost my fiancée in a car accident. My life changed forever. I realized that life is so fragile that in a second you can leave this world. I had prosperity, health and love. I practically lived in paradise.
But when she left, everything changed dramatically for me. This was one of the reasons that prompted me to write this blog, to help people find what I had practically living in paradise, with prosperity, health and love. Now I know that nothing lasts forever. So enjoy what you have now, as I happily did. Remember, as the song says: “Everything has its end and nothing lasts forever.”
An extreme example of this growth phenomenon is the case of Randy Pausch, a professor at Carnegie Mellon University. He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and was given only four months to live. From being a self-centered person and a little pride, became a sensitive human being with the desire to help and make a difference.
Randy wanted to prepare a final class (see video above) before starting to leave a legacy to their children and the world. In this talk about the importance of achieving dreams, of what really matters in life such as love and gratitude, among other topics.
His book “The Last Lecture” sold millions of copies, but the author died months later. But had the opportunity to leave a mark and transcend in the lives of many people.
Why do we have to wait for life to give us a wake-up pulling of ears?
Are you spending your time on what really matters in life or simply gets carried by society and the system in search of materials or selfish goals?
Imagine the ideal world for you. What would you change about the real world? What would you improve? What would be different?
On the basis of your talents, passions and interests in life, write your mission in life. It should be short and inspiring. With your mission we can improve the world in which we live.
A new Christmas and it would be nice to share it with other people with humility and generosity. And much better if the humility and generosity you extend to 365 days a year. You decide.
As well as an interesting story entitled: “Little Christmas star” of the author Pedro Pablo Sacristan, emphasizing the values of humility and generosity. I share them with you:
Of all the stars that shine in the sky, had always been a more brilliant and beautiful than the other. All the planets and the stars of heaven watched with admiration, and wondered what would be the important mission to be served. And so was the star, aware of its incomparable beauty.
The doubts are gone when a group of angels went looking for the star:
– Run. It’s your time. The Lord calls you to take care an important mission.
And she went as fast as he could to find out which should indicate the place where the most important event happen in history.
The star was filled with pride, dressed in their finest glitter, and prepared to follow the angels that indicate the place. It shone with such force and beauty, which could be seen from all parts of the earth, and even a group of scientists decided to follow her, knowing that should indicate something important.
For days the star followed the angels, showing the way, eager to discover how to be the place that would illuminate. But when the angels stood, with great joy and said “Here it is”, the star could not believe it. There were no palaces, no castles or mansions, gold or jewels. There was only a small stable, half abandoned, dirty and smelly.
– Oh, no! Not that! I cannot waste my shine and my beauty shining a place like this! I was born for something bigger!
And although angels tried to calm the fury of the star grew and grew, and came to gather as much arrogance and pride in it, it began to burn. And so, the star itself consumed, disappearing.
What a problem! Just missing a few days for the great moment, and were without star. Angels, panicked, ran to Heaven to tell God what had happened. He, after meditating for a moment, said:
– Search and then calls the smallest, the most humble and cheerful of all the stars you find.
Surprised by the mandate, but without hesitation, because the Lord used to do those things angels flew through the skies in search of the tiniest and cheerful of stars. It was a tiny star, as small as a grain of sand. She knew so little that gave no importance to its brightness, and spent the whole time laughing and chatting with her friends biggest stars. When it was before the Lord, who said to:
– The star most perfect of creation, the most wonderful and brilliant, has failed me for their pride. I thought you, the more humble and cheerful of all the stars, you’d be directed to take her place and light the most important event in history: the birth of the Child God in Bethlehem.
So much excitement filled our star, and felt such joy that had come to Bethlehem after the angels when he realized that his brilliance was insignificant and that, even though she tried, she was able to shine much more than a firefly.
“Sure,” She said. “But how have I not thought before accepting the order. If I am the smallest star! It is totally impossible for me to do as well as that great shining star …What a shame! But as waste an opportunity that envy all the stars in the world …”
Then she thought again “all the stars in the world.” Surely they would love to participate in something like that! And without hesitation, she sailed through the skies with a message to all their friends:
“On December 25, at midnight, I want to share with you the glory that can be a star for: Illuminate the birth of God!
I wait for you in the little town of Bethlehem, next to a small stable. ”
And sure enough, none of the stars rejected generous invitation. And so many stars came together, that among all the Christmas Star formed more beautiful than it has ever seen, but our little star not even distinguishes between so many glosses. And happy for excellent service, and a reward for his humility and generosity, God turned the little messenger in a beautiful shooting star, and gave her the gift of granting wishes every time someone saw her beautiful trail in the sky shine.
I wish you a Merry Christmas with humility and generosity.
To get along with your couple must be compatibility between both.
And what is the definition of compatibility in a couple?
Definition of compatibility
Two people, who can communicate, share major likes and dislikes, motivated by the same major goals and philosophies and stimulated by similar wants and desires but, above all can co-exist in harmony.
Although opposites attract does not mean they have to be totally different in everything. The scientific and statistical studies conducted in marriages that have long lived together say that those who have more similar are living better and not those who have more different things.
For this it is important to balance similarities and differences. When speaking of similarities, it meant vital or transcendent things, not anything. The essential similarities such as the values like Loyalty, Tolerance, Gratitude, Generosity, Solidarity, Family, etc., the capacity for emotional intimacy with another person, personal habits such as hygiene, food, among other things.
In this it must be flexible, the commitment of marriage allows for adjustments in many things.
We must also see that marriage is a complement. That is where the role of things contrary to which we should better call COMPLEMENTARY.
You should only share your home with your partner
This means you should not confuse the relationship you have with your parents and your relationship with your spouse. You have to respect your parents forever, but you have to consider that your parents love and love your spouse are different loves. And recognize that after marriage the most important person in your life will be your husband or your wife and that place even your kids can usurp it. Remember that the law of life is that way. Children are born, grow up and leave. And you and your partner were alone again, as at the beginning of the relationship.
Learn to master conflict
In your relationship there will be disagreements, which cause conflict, and challenges. And the only way to solve these conflicts is with the dialogue (without dialogue everything will be lost), where each of you share their views calmly and each of you also have to give up their views in a bit to to reach a balance or equilibrium in their relationship.
Master the art of intimacy
Preserves the moments that only each of you know. The intimacy is power. It is being who you are in front of that person you love, the love of your life, your soul mate.
I’ve always been fascinated by that, When you make love with your soul mate,
It’s like you get to lose yourself in everything, in all boundaries, at all times.
The two bodies can become so mixed up…
That you don’t know who is who or what is what…
And when the sweet confusion is so intense that you feel like you’re going to die, you kind of do,
Leaving you alone in your separate body.
But the one you love is still there.
That is a miracle.
You can go to heaven and come back alive.
And go back anytime you want…
With the one you love.
As Aristotle said is wise, “Love consists in a single soul inhabiting two bodies.”
And I said: Love is the only force I know to transform an enemy to a friend, a friend to a girlfriend, a girlfriend to a soul mate and a soul mate to a lovely wife for the rest of her life.
After death, eternal love continues with your soul mate, recalling the best moments of your life with your soul mate. And those beautiful memories do not let you down, unlike those wonderful memories used such as motivation to keep going in your life, continuing the goal set as if your partner was still by your side together. There will be a second chance in life. I do not know if you believe in reincarnation, but you will find again your soul mate as well as a friend told me many months ago.
